TooGoodToGo can be a lifesaver for cheaper meals.

It's one of those apps that you're uncertain about until you use it a few times, but then its your best friend.

The basic idea is to stop food waste, so they'll bag up the extra food and list it on the app for a 1/3 of the contents worth. You can reserve this bag, show up at the collection time, confirm collection on the app and voila.

For £2.69 I reserved a bag from Greggs and got 4x chocolate muffins, a Belgian swirl, 2x yumyums, a jam doughnut, 4x ring doughnuts and a novelty bun.

In Worcester there are tons of little delis, bakeries and corner shops selling cheap food, you just need to know what time of the day to look. You'll have to keep an eye out for certain times of the day when bags are added, but most are when the shop/restaurant closes and collections are a half an hour slot between closing times and the staff locking up.
